This winery, just south of Napa, opened...
This winery, just south of Napa, opened in July. That's why there are so few reviews. The staff was amazing, and the outdoor seating area was very pleasant (and dog friendly). Every wine we tasted was delicious and had a neat story. They also have free popcorn with gourmet salts on the side (the white truffle oil salt was yummy). I'd recommend a stop here to anyone.

We had such an amazing experience! It was a beautiful winery with great tasting wine, and we had a great server. Spencer was very informative, friendly, and made out time there very pleasant.

Very low key and friendly place. Wines...
Very low key and friendly place. Wines tend to the refreshing clean and crisp side. The pilot was a major surprise! Very pretty tasting room and beautiful location. Right off the Stanley Ranch Bike Path so bicycle friendly!

The wines at Somerston Estate are clearly...
The wines at Somerston Estate are clearly some of NapaValley's best, most collectable wines that exhibit a clarity and varietal character seldom found in the world. The tour of the 1680 acres is in a 4 wheel drive Polaris ATV ranges in elevation from 840 feet to over 2000 feet above sea level. The winery is virtually off the grid and incorporates sustainable practices that will ensure the viability of this pristine,

We were at Shafer in November 2011,...
We were at Shafer in November 2011, yes I know this is a little after the fact, but I'm not one that often reviews products or services. We are currently planning another (our 3rd) trip to Napa this fall and saw this and wanted to add my 2 cents. This place is great. The tasting was by appointment and we were treated great. The room we tasted in is beautiful along with the rest of their tasting and customer service area. It over looks their vineyards including the Hillside Select Vineyard. The wine is fantastic and is one of our favorites we pull out a bottle not only for special occasions, but when we just want a great tasting wine. We bought a their book and Doug was there and signed it for us.
