Das Weingut Tenuta La Tenaglia liegt auf etwa 450 Meter über Meereshöhe in den Hügeln des Monferrato am Rande des Naturparks Santuario di Crea, der zum UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe gehört. Giorgio Tenaglia, Stadthalter von Moncalvo und Söldnerkapitän mit besonderer Vorliebe für den Barbera, gründete 1600 eine „Oase des Weins“, um sich vor und nach den Schlachten zu erholen. In den folgenden Jahrhunderten wurden die Weinberge von fachkundiger Hand auf heute 30 Hektar kultiviert. Amazing historical winery with high quality products with a big focus on preserving the beautiful traditions of the Piemontese terroir. The atmosphere is very welcoming as the owner Sabine is always there. The staff is very professional and there are people speaking english, french, german and dutch. The people are ready to share their knowledge about wine with the visitor and to advise them for the perfect purchase. The relationship with the customers is very personal as you can even order the wine directly from the winery without having to go to store. It is always possible to see the wine cellar and have an intimate wine tasting with view on the beautiful Monferrato hills.
