Our story begins in Maremma, on the southern part of the Tuscan Coast, bordered by the Tyrrhenian Sea and embraced by the hills that rise toward Monte Amiata. Here, in 1985, Elisabetta Geppetti assumed leadership of what was then her family’s estate, initiating a new chapter that transformed a personal vision into a solid and enduring reality.

Today, the estate covers 420 hectares, including 85 hectares of vineyards, 20 of olive groves, and 18 dedicated to hazelnut cultivation.

Fattoria Le Pupille stands as one of the foremost ambassadors of the Maremma and of the Morellino di Scansano denomination worldwide, producing approximately 450,000 bottles annually and maintaining a presence in nearly every major international market.

The winery’s philosophy is rooted in the production of fine, elegant wines that faithfully express the character of the territory while contributing to the progress of Maremma’s winemaking standards, always with a strong commitment to environmental stewardship.

Today, Elisabetta is supported in the management of the estate by two of her five children, Clara and Ettore, whose energy and forward-looking vision are driving new projects and shaping the future of Fattoria Le Pupille.

Ten wines form the Fattoria Le Pupille portfolio, each distinguished by its own character yet all bound by a common thread: the elegance and unwavering commitment to quality that define the estate’s winemaking philosophy.

As an icon wine stands Saffredi, the Bordeaux‑inspired wine conceived by a young Elisabetta Geppetti together with the renowned oenologist Giacomo Tachis. This wine marked the beginning of Maremma’s ascent on the international wine stage and continues to be recognized worldwide as one of its most authoritative expressions.

Equally emblematic of the estate’s style are the Sangiovese cru Poggio Valente; Le Pupille, a pure Syrah; RosaMati, a refined Syrah‑based rosé; Poggio Argentato, a white cuvée of remarkable freshness; and Piemme, an elegant dry interpretation of Petit Manseng.

Completing the collection are Morellino di Scansano and its Riserva, wines of strong territorial identity that stand as proud ambassadors of their land and represent the starting point of Fattoria Le Pupille’s distinguished enological journey.
