Bodegas Carchelo

Bodegas Carchelo is a family-run winery founded in 1990 and located at the foot of the Sierra del Carche Natural Park, in Jumilla, southeastern Spain. Since its beginnings, the winery has maintained a strong connection with the surrounding landscape and local winemaking traditions, combining them with a careful, contemporary approach to production.

Carchelo is a working winery where the entire winemaking process takes place, from vinification and aging to bottling. The estate is committed to organic viticulture and sustainable practices, seeking to protect its natural surroundings while producing wines with precision, authenticity, and a clear connection to their origin.

Bodegas Carchelo produces wines under the Jumilla Protected Designation of Origin (DOP), with Monastrell at the heart of its production. This native Mediterranean grape variety is particularly well adapted to Jumilla's dry climate and plays a fundamental role in defining the identity of the region's wines.

Through organic vineyard management and careful grape selection, Carchelo explores different expressions of Monastrell and the distinctive terroir of Jumilla. The range extends from fresh, approachable wines that emphasize fruit and immediacy to more structured and complex wines aged in barrels.
