In the 1946, Clemente Guasti founded the winery in the heart of Nizza Monferrato and he started to produce and sell the most high quality wines from the region. As a Great wine maker and innovator, his achievements already started on the first year of activity, reporting the origin of the grapes on the label of the wine bottle’s, this innovation had an important legacy on the intuition aimed at the world of Barbera, practically he began a precise indication linked to the concept of “cru”, referring to the importance and selections of owned vineyards. He was the first to bottle a 100% Barbera “cru”. So thus was born the “Barbera delle Cascine Nicesi” which are still the pride of the House, bearing the name of Barbera d’Asti Superiore DOCG “Cascina Boschetto Vecchio”.
Today, the nephew Enrico Piantato, that always loved the great work of the grand father Clemente, with the same vision and the same passion he is managing the business in the historic Cellar placed in Via IV November at Nizza Monferrato.
We produce different kind of Barbera d'Asti and our premium production it's the Nizza and the Nizza Riserva.
At the same time we also have a small production of Langhe wines like Nebbiolo d'Alba, Barbaresco and Barolo.
In the last year we introduce a new white wine Timorasso Colli Tortonesi DOC that had got already many awards.
