Set at 1,200 meters above sea level in the pristine heart of the Nebrodi Park, Semantile is a unique mountain winery where altitude, nature, and vision come together to create something truly exceptional. Surrounded by the Semantile forest and overlooking breathtaking landscapes, the vineyards benefit from a southern exposure and constant “tramontana” winds, while the nearby presence of Mount Etna plays a key role in moderating the climate.

Semantile practices a sustainable and nature-driven approach to viticulture, working in harmony with the surrounding ecosystem. Natural grazing is used within the vineyards, encouraging biodiversity and supporting the microbiological life of the soil. Every step in the vineyard is focused on balance and quality rather than quantity, with careful green and dry pruning and meticulous selection of grape clusters throughout the growing season.

Each vineyard plot is treated as a distinct cru, expressing its own identity through position, plant characteristics, and environmental conditions. In the cellar, intervention is kept to a minimum: light clarification and filtration are guided by a philosophy of listening to the wine and respecting its natural evolution.

Semantile’s production is centered around Chardonnay, which finds a unique expression at high altitude, resulting in wines of freshness, complexity, and remarkable elegance.

The winery specializes in Classic Method sparkling wines, including a 24-month-aged millésimé Chardonnay, characterized by fine bubbles, structure, and depth, and a rosé refermented in bottle from Frappato, aged for 18 months, offering a vibrant and refined profile.

The essence of the estate is captured in its pure Chardonnay, a wine that reflects the altitude, climate, and meticulous vineyard work. The 2024 vintage stands as a true expression of the territory, combining freshness, minerality, and complexity.

All wines are crafted with minimal intervention, allowing the purity of the grapes and the unique mountain terroir to shine through.
