You will explore the estate’s original 1865 hand-operated press – now a museum piece – and learn how olive oil was traditionally produced. The experience continues with a guided walk through the working olive mill, where you will discover how olive oil is crafted today using modern techniques.
The tour then moves into a Cretan wine tasting session hosted by a qualified sommelier. This professional tasting features five different Cretan wines—red, white, rosé, and dessert—paired with a generous selection of local delicacies that highlight the authentic flavors of the island.
After the tasting, you are invited to browse the onsite shop at Vassilakis Estate, where you can sample local food products and explore a curated selection of items available for take-away or home delivery. These include the estate’s multi-award-winning organic and extra virgin olive oils, Cretan wines and spirits, olives and olive spreads, honey and marmalade, and natural cosmetics made with the estate’s organic olive oil.
Your experience concludes with free time for photos, questions, and a final chance to enjoy the welcoming atmosphere of Vassilakis Estate.
