We admit it: At first sight those who visit us have the feeling of entering a classic postcard of Tuscany. Hills, vineyards, an old farmhouse, old stones, cypresses, lemons as yellow as the sun, the scent of rosemary, lavender and thyme flooding the air. But then, those who pass the threshold of the old grey door restored by Franco, discover a world that goes far beyond the usual Tuscan cliché. The Palagio di Panzano of Monia and Franco is a small world apart that amazes for its harmonious blend of contrasts: old and new, traditional and courageously creative, “Panzanese” by heart and cosmopolitan by spirit. Here, the family-like, informal yet highly professional hospitality, the dreamlike nature and the excellent wine culture are experiences to be touched and lived to the full. Just as Monia and Franco have dreamt it from the very beginning. We promise it: Those who visit us will fall in love.

The winery Il Palagio di Panzano is located in a privileged position, on the south and south-west side of the Conca d’Oro, a few steps from Panzano in Chianti, a charming village in the heart of the Chianti Classico area. The vineyards are like the second home for Franco, here he knows every stone and every plant. His accuracy and great care in the vineyard are the best guarantee of quality and distinctiveness of all our wines. Franco loves to grow wine but he also has another passion that ties him to our land: the artisanal restoration of antique Tuscan furniture. A superb winemaker with a creative soul!
