Ventoux Wine and Food Pairing at Domaine de Mas Caron in Caromb

Your host at Domaine de Mas Caron is Marc Boulon, the owner and winegrower, who will personally guide you through this food and wine pairing experience.

You can choose between two options. The standard experience focuses entirely on the tasting. If you select the tour option, your visit will begin with the “Le Ventoux à Plat” guided walk. You will explore the estate’s vineyards and olive groves, with views of Mont Ventoux and the Dentelles de Montmirail, followed by a visit to the cellar.

The tasting takes place in the barrel cellar, or occasionally in the winemaking cellar. You will sample six of the estate's cuvées. The selection includes one white, Mariage Blanc, a Ventoux Blanc made from Roussanne, Viognier, and Grenache Blanc. You'll then taste two Ventoux rosés, Pilavoine and Rosé Futé, both from Cinsault and Carignan, with the latter showing a subtle oak influence. The tasting concludes with three reds: Garance Vieilles Vignes, a Ventoux Rouge blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Carignan, and two single-varietal Caladoc wines, La Cuvée des Copains and Si J’ai Envie By Marc, which is aged for one year in oak barrels.

Each wine is paired with a seasonal appetizer. Depending on the market's availability, the menu may feature oysters from the Thau Basin with the Mariage Blanc, pan-fried peppers with a Caladoc red, or pâté with Caromb’s long black figs alongside the Garance.

Children are welcome and will be offered non-alcoholic drinks; there is also an educational display for them in the cellar.
