Biodynamic Wine Tasting with Catalan Breakfast at Eudald Massana in Penedès

In Subirats, at the heart of the Penedès wine region, you will visit a Catalan estate that dates back to the 17th century, surrounded by vineyards and forests. A member of the hospitality team will welcome you and guide you on a tour of the vineyards surrounding the Massana family's manor house.
You will learn about the family's history and their biodynamic philosophy, which respects the natural environment in the cultivation of the vines and the crafting of their wines and Cavas. The tour continues through the winery's cellars, including the old cellar of the house and the area where the sparkling wines are aged.
After the visit, you will sit down on the terrace, which overlooks the vineyards and the Monastery of Sant Sebastià dels Gorgs. Here, you'll be served a typical Catalan breakfast featuring local cured meats, cheeses, bread with tomato and seasonal desserts. The breakfast is paired with a tasting of three of the estate's wines and Cavas. The selection typically includes the Cepell Blanc (a blend of Macabeo, Xarel·lo and Viognier), a Cava Reserva (Macabeo, Xarel·lo and Parellada) and a long-aged white like Avi Ton or a red like La Creueta. For younger visitors, organic grape juice from the winery is available.
