À propos du vignoble et des vins

The history of Corte dei Venti Winery dates back to 1943 when the Pieri family bought the Piancornello farm. The Corte dei Venti estate is located southeast in the municipality of Montalcino, in the sunniest area, that of the red lands, in the hinterland between Sant'Angelo and Castelnuovo dell'Abate. The name Corte dei Venti comes from the particular confluence of winds that constantly blow through this area, allowing for a fog-free Mediterranean climate, which promotes the health of both the vines during the vegetative phase and the grapes during the harvest.

Corte dei Venti Winery boasts 5 hectares of vineyards. The vineyards are characterized by hilly soils with more or less steep slopes, rich in ferrous limestone clay, cool and well endowed with minerals, and are influenced by winds from the sea that ensure prolonged and optimal ripening of the grapes.
