À propos du vignoble et des vins

The history of Domaine Debreuille started in 1984, when Aligoté grapes were first planted by Michel Debreuille, setting the stage for a remarkable journey. By 1997, the inaugural vintage emerged, crafted entirely on-site. Originally situated in Plottes, this endeavor faced hurdles due to family uncertainties and industry complexities.

In 2015, a significant turning point occurred as Charles-Édouard Debreuille assumed the role of manager. Alongside a confluence of favorable circumstances, including the passing of his maternal grandfather, the family embarked on the construction of a new winery, propelling their development. In 2017, the time had come to bid farewell to Plottes, a village that hadn't embraced its vision, and welcome the embrace of Royer, where enthusiasm abounded. In that same year, the family also designed a state-of-the-art winery, created to ensure optimal working conditions while simultaneously serving as a welcoming haven for both local residents and passing tourists. Positioned strategically amidst the vineyards and along a route connecting numerous tourist attractions, this move allowed for the realization of their vision – direct sales, fostering a direct connection from producer to consumer.

Nestled in the Mâconnais within the communes of Plottes and Royer, Domaine Debreuille passionately cultivates all four iconic Burgundian grape varieties: Aligoté, Chardonnay, Gamay, and Pinot Noir. From vineyard to bottle, they oversee the entire process, resulting in twelve exquisite vintages available for purchase.

Domaine Debreuille defines itself in three words: little - as it prioritizes quality over quantity, quality - by working closely with nature to express the terroir's essence, and affordable - offering Burgundy's finest at reasonable prices.
