DOMAINE PIERACCI

Domaine Pieracci is a family winery in Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer, in the heart of Provence, a few minutes from the Mediterranean coast. It produces wines under the Bandol AOP and Côtes de Provence AOP designations. Founded by a winemaker descended from several generations of vintners, the estate now cultivates 15 hectares of vineyards using organic farming methods, certified by Ecocert since 2011. The cellar has stood here since 2007, facing the Bay of Angels.

The vineyards grow on different terroirs. Around the cellar, the soils are clay and limestone, under the influence of the sea and the Mistral wind. At Le Clos, the vines grow on hillside plots above the sea, on red and stony sands inside walls built by hand. At Les Costes, old vines grow on ancient clays on traditional terraces called restanques. The work in the vineyard is done by hand and follows the seasons. The estate motto, Nil Sine Labore, means that only hard work pays.

The family loves to share its craft, its terroir and its passion for wine in a warm, welcoming and intimate setting. Tours, tastings and culinary experiences, such as a ride through the vineyard in a Citroën Méhari or a dinner with the estate chef, offer visitors the chance to discover the estate's wines, its winemaking methods and the character of the Bandol and Côtes de Provence appellations. All spaces are on one level, so the estate is easy to access for people with reduced mobility.

The wines are produced under the Bandol AOP and Côtes de Provence AOP designations, using grapes from the estate's organically farmed vineyards. The range includes red, rosé and white wines that reflect the diversity of its terroirs and its winemaking expertise.

Mourvèdre is at the heart of the red wines. The Bandol Rouge, the estate's reference wine, blends Mourvèdre, Grenache and Cinsault and ages for 18 months in oak casks. It is a tannic, powerful and taut red. The Cuvée Spéciale Rouge is a limited edition of fewer than 1,000 bottles per vintage, made mainly from Mourvèdre from the best plots, refined and finely oaked. The Côtes de Provence Rouge is made mainly from Syrah from vines about 40 years old, with subtle barrel ageing. The estate also makes a natural red wine from 100% Mourvèdre without added sulphites.

The range also includes an organic Bandol Rosé and an organic Côtes de Provence Blanc. Some red wines are also available in magnum.
