À propos du vignoble et des vins

Domain Terres de Sable lauched its new cellar in 2021. The renovation was designed to combine the past history, the century-old remains of the old cellar, its old cogs and wheels, and its old 400hL oval concrete vat with modernity and new ways of making wine. Three different types of vats have been installed for vinification. 5 concrete vats with epoxy paint for the whites and rosés, 3 rough concrete vats designed for the reds, and finally 30 stainless steel vats with cooling belts for better monitoring of vinification.

Terres de Sable is the oldest vineyard in the sands of the Petite Camargue. In fact, the domain already appears on Napoleonic plans dating back to 1800.  It was the first estate to convert to organic farming over 27 years ago.  It covers 27 hectares. The vines grow in the sand, producing light, fresh wines. The grape varieties represented are numerous, but those highlighted by the Sable de Camargue AOP are Grenache Gris and Grenache Noir. The emblematic wines of the region are the Gris and Gris de Gris made from these grape varieties.

We also do some white and red wine in IGP Mediterannée. These two wine are very light, a specifity from our land, the sand.

Our vines take root in the sand and are cradled by the sea spray and the Mediterranean sun. Tasting our wines is an ode to sharing, to getting together with friends, to long summer evenings, to the pleasures of life.
