Podere45
À propos du Domaine
Podere45 is a small family-run winery located in northwestern Sardinia, in the Nurra area and more specifically in the reclaimed countryside surrounding Alghero. Here, the vineyards benefit from a mild Mediterranean climate, proximity to the sea, and the constant winds that characterize this part of the island.
The winery was created by three siblings, Valentina, Chiara, and Gian Piero, who decided to give new value to their family's small vineyard and transform it into a project deeply connected to the winemaking traditions of the territory. The name Podere45 preserves an important part of this family history: 45 was the number assigned to their grandparents during the land reclamation carried out by ETFAS, the former authority responsible for agricultural and land transformation in Sardinia.
Podere45 considers winemaking first and foremost a form of craftsmanship. The siblings personally care for both the vines and the wines, following production closely with the aim of creating authentic, distinctive wines that sincerely reflect their family vineyard and the landscape of the Nurra.
À propos des Vins
The Podere45 vineyard covers just 2 hectares, equally divided between Vermentino and Cagnulari, with vines averaging approximately 25 years of age and trained entirely using the espalier system.
Vermentino has a particularly important place in the family's history. It is the variety to which they feel most closely connected and one that has brought them great satisfaction over the years. The maritime influence and winds of the Alghero countryside provide a distinctive environment for this emblematic Sardinian white grape.
Cagnulari, another variety strongly associated with northwestern Sardinia, is interpreted by Podere45 with an emphasis on freshness and drinkability. Its natural acidity contributes to a vibrant, elegant style while maintaining the grape's characteristic complexity.
With only two hectares under vine and a hands-on approach throughout production, Podere45's wines are an intimate expression of Vermentino, Cagnulari, and the coastal terroir of the Nurra.
