À propos du vignoble et des vins

Fortemasso is located in the municipality of Monforte d'Alba, a property of 5 hectares planted with Nebbiolo da Barolo Docg in the MGA Castelletto to which 8,5 hectares have been added for the production of Dolcetto d'Alba Doc, Langhe Nebbiolo Doc and Barbera d'Alba Superiore Doc. Leveraging on the excellent quality of the land, a project led by a competent staff moved by a precise production philosophy comes to life: extreme attention to the vineyard and a light hand in the cellar, in order to keep the characteristic features of the vine recognizable.

The building that houses Fortemasso has been renovated maintaining its traditional characteristics and making it elegant and contemporary inside. The cellar with the vinification and aging rooms is located in an underground structure: an eco-sustainable underground cellar, designed to preserve the external rural landscape and modernly conceived for the production process.

We produce 5 labels: Barolo Docg Castelletto, Barolo Riserva Docg Castelletto, Dolcetto d'Alba Doc, Langhe Nebbiolo Doc and Barbera d'Alba Superiore Doc. FORTEMASSO Barolo is a contemporary wine: thanks to wine making choices ("soft hand" in the wine cellar) the characteristic features of the grapes grown within the cru Castelletto (identified by sandy soil, fresh climate, south-east exposure) pass elegantly and delicately unaltered into the wines.
