Private Tour of Évora & Alentejo with Wine Tasting from Lisbon
Here is what's in store for you
Your private tour begins when your guide picks you up from your accommodation in Lisbon for a full-day excursion into the Alentejo region. The destination is Évora, a city recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site for its well-preserved history.
Led by your guide, you will walk through the city's narrow streets and squares, exploring its main monuments. The itinerary includes the ancient Roman Temple, often called the Temple of Diana, the distinct Chapel of Bones, Évora’s Cathedral, and the Aqueduto da Água de Prata. Your guide will provide context on the city's long history as you visit each site. You will also have some free time to browse the local shops for handmade crafts and cork souvenirs.
The day concludes at José Maria da Fonseca's historic cellar. Here, in the tasting room, you will have a guided tasting of two regional wines: a red from Alentejo and a five-year-old Moscatel Roxo, a fortified dessert wine. After the tasting, your guide will drive you back to your accommodation in Lisbon.
