Here is what's in store for you
This full-day private tour invites you to discover the rich heritage, craftsmanship, and flavors of Évora, a UNESCO World Heritage city since 1986.
The journey begins in the Old Town of Évora, a walled city filled with narrow cobbled streets, centuries-old buildings, and a profound religious legacy. Visitors will explore key landmarks including Giraldo Square, the impressive Roman Temple (also known as Diana’s Temple), and Évora Cathedral, one of Portugal’s most important medieval monuments. The tour also includes a visit to the Church of São Francisco with its unique Chapel of Bones, the University of Évora—formerly the Jesuit college—and the D. Manuel Palace within the public garden. Art and history lovers will enjoy the Eugénio de Almeida Art and Culture Center, and a walk along the Água de Prata Aqueduct, an engineering marvel that stretches into the countryside.
As part of the tour, guests will enjoy a guided visit to a family-run cork factory, where they’ll discover how cork is sustainably harvested, processed, and transformed into one of Portugal’s most renowned natural products. This behind-the-scenes look reveals the innovation and tradition behind cork production.
To complete the experience, the tour includes a visit to a local winery, where you'll enjoy a guided tasting of regional wines, with the option to upgrade to a premium tasting or include local tapas.
From cultural landmarks to artisan heritage and local wines, this tour offers a unique immersion into the soul of the Alentejo region.
