Here is what's in store for you
With more than 150 cellar doors, Hunter Valley is the oldest wine-producing region in Australia, but it's also famous for outstanding local distilleries and breweries offering award-winning drinks. This special Winedering Day Tour in the Hunter Valley will showcase the absolute best highlights of the region with tasting experiences and delicious food found at a range of boutique venues.
We depart from Sydney at 7 am for a 2.5-hour journey northwest with a stop on the way for refreshments before arriving in the Hunter Valley. No worries about the length of the journey. Our guide plays relaxing tunes as we head north across the Sydney Harbour Bridge, over the Hawkesbury River, and onto Australia’s oldest wine production region — the renowned Hunter Valley!
The first stop is an outstanding boutique winery where an expert takes you through tastings of their outstanding red and white wines including the region’s famous varietals including Shiraz and Semillon. We then visit a second charming cellar door before lunch for more private wine tastings.
Next, it’s off to a local brewery for a banquet-style lunch where you can choose (at your own expense) which local beverage to enjoy with your meal. There is another cellar door nearby or you can walk among the vines taking photos.
Our next stop is spirits tastings at the home of the unique glitter vodka! Always a laugh and very educational!
The day ends with some free time to explore the local village to try some local cheese and chocolate samples, hunt down the Dragon Schnapps for a fiery tasting or browse the shops for a memento. Throughout the day, you may purchase as much wine and cheese as you please as we take a cooler bag to keep the cheese cool and plenty of room for those bottles or cases of wine
This is without doubt a great value day trip tasting a wide variety of food and drink. If you are looking for an enjoyable, engaging and fun Hunter Valley Wine Tour From Sydney, book with us today!
