Cantina e Vini

Grandfather Armando, son of great-grandfather Giovanni: a tireless worker, bent over from the many efforts in the vineyards and always cheerful, with a closed fist as a sign of firmness, with a decisive step. Working the land, love for the family, a life full of sacrifices. Our family identifies itself daily with the brand itself, from which it draws strength and determination, to face the hard journey of life with long strides. We are a family-run business now in its fourth generation, which has always been dedicated to the production and sale of wines. Starting from the great-grandfather Giovanni in 1928 the winery was born which will then be managed by grandfather Armando who begins to make it grow in an important way, then leaving it in management to his children and subsequently to his son Giovanni until 2021. Thus we arrive at the fourth generation with the new management of the daughter Fiona and son-in-law Adriatik. The company began to produce Barbera wine and then added other types of vine to its production such as Freisa, Dolcetto, Grignolino and Cortese but the flagship has become the Ruchè, an important native vine of the area.

In the company we mainly produce five types of bottled wines such as: 1) Ruchè di Castagnole M.to: not too intense red, pronounced floral notes, berries and spices such as black pepper. On the palate it is decidedly soft and pleasant with a taste that tends to remain and satisfy the taste buds for a long time. Serve at room temperature; 2) Barbera d'Asti: intense red in color with an intense and fruity aroma, it releases notes of blackberry, raspberry and ripe cherry. In the mouth it has a dry, pleasantly fresh and floral taste. Serve at room temperature; 3) Piemonte Cortese: straw yellow in colour, intense, quite complex with hints of fruit such as white peach, apricot, hawthorn flowers with a slight mineral nuance. Serve at 6-8°, ideal as an aperitif, to accompany appetizers and dishes based on fish and white meats; 4) Monferrato Dolcetto: Of an intense red color sometimes with purplish reflections, with notes of fruits and red flowers, it has a dry and aromatic taste that is not too acidic. Serve at room temperature; 5) Freisa d'Asti: intense red in colour, the delicate aroma of rose and raspberry prevails in its perfume, developing pleasant scents that blend over time. Serve at a temperature of 18-20 degrees and uncork one hour before;
