Cantina e Vini

The vineyards are located in the Rioja Alta area (located on the western edge of the region). Grapes come from century-old vines planted on clay-calcareous soils in the early 20th century with a low-yield production and a southeastern orientation to make the most of natural light. Grapes are hand-harvested in October when they are at their most ripe and are transported to the winery in 15 kg boxes for processing. If there is one thing that really captures the tourist appeal of Ventosa it is its location on the road to Santiago de Compostela. The village is located along the "French Route", and although not many pilgrims wander its streets, there is a path that takes you to the heart of the village with its beautiful views. From there, and looking towards Najera, you can see the Alto de San Anton and the milestones known as the Hitos del Camino, a number of stone groupings that symbolize the burden left in their path by the pilgrims.

The grape varieties used are Tempranillo, Garnacha, Graciano and Mazuelo for red wines and Viura and Malvasia for the white wines. Knowledgeable professionals with extensive experience in the wine-making industry contribute to the production of our wines. They handcraft our wines using indigenous grape varieties from the Rioja region. Our classic range includes a Joven, a Crianza and a Reserva wine under the MILETO brand. We also produce designer high-end wines for demanding consumers under the LIVIUS brand
