Well worth a visit. Very good wine and we learned a lot about the Monastrell grape. Their olive oil was also a pleasant surprise. This winery not to be missed. The buildings and surroundings are very nice.

Francisco Gómez saw in these lands the very thing he had been seeking for many years - a perfect setting where he could fulfil his dreams. They provided him with an outstanding site to establish modern wineries in which his principles of high quality, sustainability and concern for the natural environment could be given top priority. In doing so, he took over from the ancient La Serrata winery where wine had been made as far back as the 18th century. He then carried out the necessary renovations to turn it into a shining example of what can be achieved in Alicante in the field of agricultural production and innovation.
Our winery is a must on the Alicante Wine Route, perfect for inland tourism. We will take you on a guided tour of the winery, organise a wine tasting and an extra virgin olive oil tasting. We will explain how we apply organic and biodynamic farming methods in all our processes. We will show you how wine is made, from the time the vines are bare until the bottle is ready for sale.
In our cellar you will be part of the family. You will feel the same passion and enthusiasm as all the wine lovers who work at Bodegas Francisco Gómez. Let us tell you our story, who we are, what we do and how we want to grow. We want to show you all the richness of Villena’s wine-growing heritage, in the inland area of the Costa Blanca. We invite you to make a toast with us!
Our winery, which belongs to the D.O. Alicante, is located in the Alto Vinalopó region. The climate here is more extreme, with colder winters than in other areas of this designation of origin.
Of all of them, the MONASTRELL red grape is the autochthonous variety and the base of most of our wines. It is a long cycle, late ripening variety, very well adapted to dry and extreme climates such as ours. Its organoleptic value is immense. It stands out for its aromatic power and versatility. It can be used to produce everything from still and sweet wines to a range of sparkling wines. These wines are intense, medium-high robe with aromas of ripe fruit, great body and mineral touches.
