The Tenuta di Montefoscoli is located in the Pisan hills, a place that tells of the presence of an ancient agricultural culture. The vineyards, located at different altitudes, are mostly cultivated with Sangiovese and Vermentino, according to the Tuscan tradition. Certified organic agricultural practices are used within the estate. The objective of the Tenuta di Montefoscoli is to convey the typicality of the terroir of the Pisan hills, and in particular of the area of the village of Montefoscoli.

The cellar is located in the "Tabaccaia", a building built in 1922 for drying tobacco, which today houses the processing of another raw material, organic grapes, following a careful restoration operation which has preserved the architectural elements of the original building.

The Tenuta di Montefoscoli project aims to best bring out the complexity of the territory, enhancing the differences and peculiarities of the vineyards, respecting nature and organic principles.

The wines that can be tasted are Fontemaggiore, a Vermentino Costa Toscana IGT; Vacevoli, a Costa Toscana IGT Bianco (Vermentino, Viognier, Petit Manseng); and Santandrea, a Sangiovese Costa Toscana IGT. But it is also possible to taste a selection of wines from the other estates of the Castellani family.
