VILLA CALCINAIA is owned by the Capponi family, and Count Sebastiano Capponi is the manager of the Estate and winemaker together with Mr. Federico Staderini. The winery is an historic property of the Chianti Classico area, and it has been in Capponi family since 1524.
The form of agriculture is organic. In recent years Count Sebastiano Capponi has added a second and a third lines of Chianti Classico for the Horeca sector to the traditional Villa Calcinaia line and here is a brief description:
