Here is what's in store for you
07:30 – Hotel pick-up and departure for the Champagne region. The ride takes about 2 hours (140 km), passing through picturesque Champagne landscapes and vineyards. A short stop at a rest area will be made.
10:00 – 12:00: Arrival in Épernay. Guided tour at Moët & Chandon, including the underground cellars and Champagne tastings. “Grand Vintage” Experience: up to 10 people, 1.5 hours, tasting of 2 glasses — Moët Grand Vintage Blanc and Moët Grand Vintage Rosé. Moët & Chandon is the world’s largest Champagne producer; statistically, a bottle is opened somewhere around the world every second.
12:00 – 13:30: Lunch break in Épernay. Time at leisure or restaurant reservation available upon request.
Épernay is known as the Champagne Capital of France, located along the Marne and surrounded by wine hills. It is home to many prestigious Champagne houses, and the Avenue de Champagne is a must for all Champagne lovers.
13:30 – Departure for Hautvillers village. Travel time: 10 minutes (6 km).
13:40 – 14:10: Hautvillers Viewpoint and Church. Visit the Abbey Church of Saint-Sindulphe, part of the historic Abbey Saint-Pierre d’Hautvillers, founded in 665 and active until the French Revolution in 1789. Dom Pérignon contributed to the development of Champagne winemaking techniques here. Today, Hautvillers hosts 26 local Champagne producers. A stop will be made at the panoramic viewpoint overlooking the vineyards and the Marne Valley.
14:10 – Departure for Reims. Travel time: 30 minutes (28 km).
14:45 – 16:45: Visit to Ruinart, the first Champagne house (established in 1729). Guided tour of the UNESCO-listed Crayères offers deep insight into Champagne history and production. “La Visite des Crayères”: up to 12 people, 2 hours, tasting of 2 cuvées.
16:45 – Departure for nearby Reims Cathedral.
17:00 – 17:30 Self-guided visit of Reims Cathedral, where most French kings were crowned.
17:30 – Departure for Paris. Travel time: approximately 2 hours (144 km).
20:00 – Arrival in Paris and drop-off at the hotel.
