Picnic & Wine at Bosque de Matasnos Winery in Ribera del Duero
Here is what's in store for you
Bosque de Matasnos is a truly singular winery in Europe—family-owned and set in a stunning setting: a private 220-hectare woodland just five minutes from the charming village of Peñaranda de Duero.
You will start your experience with a walk through our secluded vineyards and country trails. We then share the story behind the project—its technology, investment vision, and next steps—so you can understand our winemaking approach and why we chose the rugged highlands of Ribera del Duero, close to 1,000 meters above sea level.
After exploring our winery and getting to know our sustainable winemaking project, take a leisurely walk through the vineyards and choose your own spot in the estate to enjoy the treats we’ve prepared for you—such as Iberian cured meats from our pigs, fresh curd with honey from our sheep and bees, and of course any wines you’d like to purchase in our shop to savour at your own pace, surrounded by nature.
Upon arrival at the winery, you will have the opportunity to choose which wine or wines you would like to include in your picnic basket. Prices range from €15 for our Petit Blanco de Matasnos to €45 for our limited-edition red wines. As a reference, you may consider the white wine option, while keeping in mind that you are free to select and purchase as many different wines as you wish.

Where we are and how to reach us
Getting to the winery is very straightforward. You can find us on any major GPS app, and there is clear signage from the main road. The final 2 kilometers are along a dirt track within the estate that leads directly to the winery.
Please note that we have an elevator, an accessible restroom, and modern facilities designed to minimize any inconvenience for guests with reduced mobility.
