Your exclusive private experience begins in Naples, at the meeting point in Piazza del Plebiscito, with a private car transfer to Pompeii (about 30 minutes, traffic permitting). With your private licensed guide, you will walk through the ancient Roman city frozen by the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 AD, discovering villas, frescoes, and streets at your own pace, far from the crowds of a group tour.

After Pompeii, a 15-minute drive takes you to the slopes of Vesuvius and to Vigna delle Rose, the hospitality estate of the renowned, family-run Casa Setaro winery, surrounded by organic vineyards on volcanic soil with a breathtaking panoramic view over the Bay of Naples and the Sorrento Coast. A member of the family or of the winery staff guides you through the vineyard, where you are welcomed with a Neapolitan cuoppo of fried specialities, and then down into the barrel cellar, where you taste a wine aged in amphora. You then go back up to the restaurant room for an exclusive wine tasting lunch with 4 premium wines of Vesuvius: Lacryma Christi White DOC from Caprettone grapes, Lacryma Christi Rosé, Lacryma Christi Red DOC from Piedirosso, and the sweet Capafresca Passito. The lunch opens with Piennolo del Vesuvio bread and Casa Setaro extra virgin olive oil, followed by a seasonal first course (for example fusilli alla Nerano, or pasta e patate in autumn and winter), beef meatballs in tomato sauce as the main course, and a dessert.
