This private Mount Etna Tour offers a thrilling, private day trip to one of Sicily’s most awe-inspiring natural wonders, with roundtrip transfers from your Catania hotel. You’ll explore extinct craters, hike up the volcano, and even enter a lava tube! The day also includes a relaxing visit to a family-owned winery, all in one unforgettable experience.

The tour begins with an early morning pickup from your accommodation in Catania (or Taormina with an add-on). As you head towards Mount Etna, your private guide will share insights about the active volcano, known for its frequent mini eruptions, which actually make it safer to visit. As you ascend, you’ll see how the landscape reflects the volcano’s ever-changing nature.

At 2000 meters, you’ll start your hike with a certified Etna Alpine guide, exploring the volcanic terrain and extinct craters while learning about the mountain’s history and local culture. You’ll also enter a lava tube, where lava once flowed—a truly unique experience.

After your volcanic adventure, you’ll head to a local winery to enjoy a delicious light lunch with local products and appetizers accompanied by a tasting of the estate's wines, all while taking in stunning views.
