Art & Nature Prosecco Superiore Tasting at Bortolomiol in Valdobbiadene
Here is what's in store for you
Your experience begins at Parco della Filandetta, a former silk mill restored by the Bortolomiol family, now a site of industrial archaeology in the heart of Valdobbiadene. The hospitality manager will welcome you and guide you through the winemaking cellar, explaining how Glera grapes from the UNESCO World Heritage hills are transformed into Prosecco Superiore DOCG.
You'll learn about the founder, Giuliano Bortolomiol, a pioneer who championed the Brut style of Prosecco in the 1950s and helped shape the history of Italian sparkling wine. The visit continues with a guided walk through the Parco della Filandetta, an area reserved for you, surrounded by an organic vineyard and contemporary artworks.
The experience concludes outdoors with a tasting of two glasses of Prosecco Superiore DOCG, selected to showcase different expressions of the territory. The wines are paired with three local cheeses: a fresh Latteria, a spiced Caciottina, and an aged cheese. In case of rain, the tasting moves inside the historic silk mill and includes a wider selection of wines.
