Here is what's in store for you
Discover the essence of Southern Italian winemaking and cuisine with this immersive full-day experience at Cortecorbo Winery. The day begins with a guided tour of the vineyards and winery, where the winemaker of Cortecorbo Winery shares the rich history of the estate and the secrets behind its exceptional wines, including the renowned Taurasi DOCG, Fiano, and Coda di Volpe. Stroll through the vineyards and explore the cantina while learning about the family traditions that have shaped the winery’s philosophy.
Next, step into the kitchen for a hands-on pizza cooking class. You’ll learn how to make and cook pizza in a traditional wood-fired oven or choose to prepare handmade pasta, such as ravioli. Fun and learning go hand in hand!
After the cooking session, sit down for a long countryside lunch, perfectly paired with a wine tasting of six different Cortecorbo labels. The experience begins with an antipasto featuring a selection of Irpinian cheeses, bruschetta, handmade salami, and chestnuts, including a chestnut soup, Provolone DOP, Pecorino, and bruschetta topped with tomatoes and green peppers. The pizza created during the cooking class will be baked live in the traditional wood oven. The first courses include handmade ravioli with pumpkin cream and Maccaronara with cherry tomatoes and salty ricotta, both carefully paired with wines that enhance their rich textures and flavors. The second course features chicken scallop cooked in white wine with flavored baked potatoes, followed by a classic Tiramisù for dessert.
The wine tasting at Cortecorbo Winery includes the following selection of red, white, and rosé wines: Antyco (Taurasi DOCG), Montis Marani (Aglianico DOC), Anthonia (Campi Taurasini DOC), Nota Caparbia (Fiano IGT), Ilvania (Coda di Volpe DOC), and Rosé IGT.
