Here is what's in store for you

Unleash your inner wine enthusiast at The Wine Experience, one of the standout attractions at the World of Wine (WOW) in Vila Nova de Gaia – the largest cultural district in the world dedicated to wine. Whether you're a curious beginner or a seasoned connoisseur, this interactive journey will deepen your appreciation for one of the world’s most iconic drinks.

This immersive wine experience in Porto takes you through every stage of winemaking – from root to vine, grape to glass. Learn how terroir, climate and grape variety all influence the final character of the wine, and why these factors are key to understanding quality and style.

Travel through the rich tapestry of Portuguese wine regions, from the green landscapes of the Vinho Verde region in the north to the sun-soaked plains of the Alentejo in the south, and discover the unique wines of the Azores and Madeira islands. Each region brings its own story, heritage and distinctive flavours.

Your visit concludes with a guided wine tasting session featuring three different wines (red, white and Port – or a non-alcoholic option), where our Wine Experts will help you unlock the secrets of wine tasting, from aroma to finish.

The Wine Experience at WOW is more than just a museum – it’s a celebration of wine culture. This engaging and educational journey will leave you with a newfound confidence and deeper knowledge of wine, a timeless drink rooted in over 7,000 years of history and tradition.
