Deeply connected to the land, the family has been producing wine since the 1500s. Your experience will begin with a visit to the cellar, hidden under the Villa, that jealously guards wine in wooden barrels. Here you will learn about the different grapes that the Marchesi Gondi family have been producing with great care for centuries. You will have the opportunity to discover the process behind the wine of tradition and touch the history with your hand: the orciaia (the ancient olive oil storage) and the caratelli (small wooden barrels) for Vinsanto.

Finally, in a relaxing environment, you will be guided through a tasting of three Chianti Rufina wines accompanied by a small selection of local cheese and cold cuts, to discover the authentic soul of Tuscan wine.

Wonderful experience

The visit to the Bossi estate begins by retracing the history of the Gondi family with a wonderful panorama in the background.
Immediately after, you move on to the visit of the actual cellars with a detailed explanation of the wine and oil production and the various stages of aging.
It all concludes with the actual tasting of three types of wine and an oil with a corresponding presentation of the products. Our guide was helpful and thorough, able to fully immerse and involve the visitors in the experience and ready to answer all questions and curiosities. The products are of excellent quality and you end up being very undecided when it comes time to purchase (if you wish). The experience in general is very good value for money.
