Wine experience at the Biodynamic Mara Wine Estate
Here is what's in store for you
Visiting Tenuta Mara means living an extraordinary wine experience, one of a kind. A journey lasting approximately two hours that, starting from the park of the estate and its 'en plein air' artworks, continues in the vineyard, where the grapes that will become 'MaraMia' are born and grow.
While visiting the park and vineyard, you will be lulled by the sounds of Mozart notes played along the rows of vines by a sophisticated system of BOSE speakers, as well as by the chirping of the many birds that populate the Estate. You will quickly notice how the Mara Wine Estate is an authentic natural oasis, a symbol of a perfect ecosystem built with great skill over the years.
Inside the winery, your visit begins in the splendid music room from which, via a staircase that is also a work of art, you will access the 'sacred' places of wine: the Tinaia (fermentation room), the Cantina (cellar), and the Bottaia (aging cellar).
This wonderful sensory experience ends with the tasting of the undisputed protagonist of this splendid and unique reality: the MaraMia, a 100% Sangiovese. It is possible to complement the tasting with a selection of cured meats and cheeses for an additional fee per person.

The staff is passionate and knowledgeable about their craft, and we were given an intimate and thorough walkthrough of the winemaking process.
The facilities are excellent, and Tenuta Mara is a different experience than other vineyards. The seamless integration of both modern and classic art hanging on the walls, as well as Mozart playing in the background gives a whole new edge to the visit.
A fantastic experience that I would recommend to everyone!
Buy a bottle of both the Guiry and Maramia to take back home. Taste the difference between oak vats and the concrete vats.
