Tuscan Villages & Brunello Wine Tour with Lunch from Florence
Here is what's in store for you
Your tour begins in Florence, where you'll board a private car or minivan and travel into the Tuscan countryside. The first destination is Montalcino, the home of Brunello wine. After a walk through the historic center, you will visit a local winery.
Here, the estate's team will guide you through their cellars before leading a tasting of their wines and extra virgin olive oil. The tasting includes Rosso di Montalcino, Brunello di Montalcino, and other Tuscan wines, held on the estate's terrace or in the indoor tasting room, depending on the weather. This is followed by a traditional Tuscan lunch, subject to seasonality and availability, featuring regional specialties like crostini, salami, prosciutto, pecorino cheese, and a fresh pasta course, all paired with the estate's wines.
In the afternoon, the tour continues to Siena for a walk through its historic streets to Piazza del Campo and the Gothic Cathedral, with free time to explore on your own. The next stop is Monteriggioni, a medieval fortress-village. The day concludes here with a second tasting of local wines at a wine shop in Monteriggioni, before the return journey to Florence.
