Here is what's in store for you
Your experience takes place at the Wine Tasting Centre, located in the historic Samovodska Charshia district of Veliko Tarnovo. Here, an experienced sommelier from the team will welcome you and introduce you to Bulgaria's rich wine heritage.
You will be guided through a tasting of five carefully selected wines: two whites, one rosé, and two reds. The selection focuses on Bulgarian producers and showcases indigenous grape varieties such as Gamza, Rubin, Dimyat, and Misket. Throughout the tasting, your guide will explain the stories behind each label, helping you identify their distinctive aromas and flavors while you learn about the characteristics of Bulgaria’s different wine regions.
Each wine is paired with a specific gourmet bite featuring Bulgarian truffles, with pairings that may include duck terrine, aubergine cream with walnut tahini, cream cheese, cow’s milk cheese, and a traditional dried beef sudzhuk, all with truffle. For larger groups, Chef Radichev may also personally introduce the Bulgarian truffles and explain how they are used in his kitchen.
