Castello della Mugazzena awaits you in the heart of the Lunigiana territory to discover their small-scale production and taste their wines.

The owner of Castello della Mugazzena, Santo Gentilcore, acquired the property in 2012. Since then its abandoned vineyards were reclaimed and in 2016 they obtained their first harvest. Currently, they produce about 50/60.000 bottles per year, and the estate is run entirely according to the principles of organic farming. Across the 140 hectares of the estate, you will be able to admire a landscape that is rich in biodiversity; apart from the vineyards, you will find groves of oaks and a wood of hundred-year-old chestnut trees.

With this experience, you will have the opportunity to visit the winery and take a stroll among the vines. After the guided tour, you will be able to sit down and relax while sipping Castello della Mugazzena's wines. Santo or a member of his team will open for the occasion a bottle of each of his three labels: Gargantuà I.G.T. Toscana (100% Syrah), Clotilde Classic Method Sparkling Wine (100% Chardonnay), and Pantagruel I.G.T. Toscana (Vermentino, Malvasia, and Viognier). The wines will be accompanied by a rich selection of local products like cheese and cold cuts.
