Founded in 1980 by Pier Luigi Neri, Azienda Agricola Il Monticello is located in the picturesque hills of Sarzana, on the border between Liguria and Tuscany. Initially a passion project, the winery grew under the guidance of Pier Luigi’s sons, Alessandro and Davide, who embraced organic and biodynamic farming methods. The estate spans 14 hectares, with a commitment to sustainability and respecting the land. Visitors can explore the beautiful landscape and enjoy high-quality wines produced in harmony with nature.

The Pascale family has historically used the farm in Fosdinovo since 1992 to supply extra virgin olive oil for self-support, relatives and friends. Subsequently, Francesca, the daughter of the head of the family Gerardo, launches the idea of ​​expanding production by embracing the world of wine. The beauty of the hills of Fosdinovo, the call of nature, therefore combines with the desire to enhance the land beneath the olive grove and give an impetus to the nascent local agriculture. The Pascale Francesca Agricultural Company has stood out as organic since its inception: it does not afflict or even apply chemical "boosts" to the normal cycle of nature. From 2008 to 2009 the land was prepared. In 2010, Vermentino was planted, followed by Vermentino Nero, Canaiolo and Merlot.
