The Montefabbrello Farm is located on the plain of Montefabbrello beside the gulf of Portoferraio, a few hundred meters from the beach. The whole area is a natural habitat for wild and migratory birds, surrounded by olive trees and vineyards. We are open all year round so even in the off season you can stay for a weekend, taking part in several weekend events that we organize for our guests. Even in small groups, you will be guided through the vineyards and through our cellars, with tasting of the organic wines we produce and the dishes that are prepared with products originating in Tuscany. La Fattoria dell'Acquabona risale ai primi decenni del 1700; il toponimo deriva dalla presenza di una fonte d'acqua dolce, bene prezioso per gli isolani; l'azienda è situata a mezza strada tra Portoferraio e Porto Azzurro, e si adagia dolcemente dal versante orientale del Monte Orello verso il Golfo di Portoferraio. L'Azienda vitivinicola nasce alla fine degli anni '50; alla viticoltura si affiancavano la coltivazione di cereali e di foraggio per l'allevamento bovino, successivamente abbandonati a favore della viticoltura specializzata. Negli anni '80 l'Azienda è stata rilanciata sotto la guida di tre agronomi, che hanno applicato nuovi criteri per la coltivazione dei vigneti e per la vinificazione. L'attuale orientamento produttivo è indirizzato ad una agricoltura il più possibile naturale, con grande attenzione alla salvaguardia dell'ambiente, nonchè alla tipicità ed alla genuinità del vino. Oggigiorno la Fattoria dell'Acquabona comprende oltre 16 ettari di vigneto ed è tra le maggiori aziende vitivinicole dell’Isola d’Elba.

With a vineyard directly overlooking Portoferraio, "La Chiusa" estate takes its name from the wall enclosing it, along with the 20 hectares (roughly 46 acres) of surrounding property. Its origins date back to the 1700s, the period in which the wall was first built, along with the country house, wine cellar and miniature chapel. The owner's house with the double staircase outside was built later during the 1800s. "La Chiusa" hosted Napoleon Bonaparte on two separate occasions: once while waiting to be received with honours in Portoferraio after his arrival in Elba, and an other time following a hunting party expedition on Mount Fabbrello. In 1815 the plenipotentiary ministers of Saint Alliance – better known for returning the Grand Duke of Tuscany to the house of Lorena – enjoyed a stay at "La Chiusa" as well. Over the course of 300 years, management of the Chiusa estate has been passed on to various families; first to the Senno family, who initially founded the business in 1700, destining it to the production of wines; and then later to the Foresi family who, over a 150 year span, enhanced both the quality and prestige of "La Chiusa" after acquiring it halfway through the 19th century. The last heiress of that family was Ms. Giuliana, who made the business viable through the passion and dedication of her ancestors, bringing ever greater recognition and higher quality to the name of "La Chiusa" products.

Nello splendido scenario che circonda il Campeggio Lacona spiccano le colture tradizionali elbane, tra queste si trovano le vigne e gli olivi dell'Azienda Agricola Mazzarri. Questa azienda, di antica tradizione, le cui prime produzioni risalgono a fine '800, ha reso disponibili l'Olio extravergine di oliva ed i Vini DOC che produce: Elba Bianco, Elba Rosso Vignanuova, Elba Rosso Vignavecchia e due vini passiti, il famoso Aleatico Passito dell'Elba divenuto l'ottava DOCG della Toscana e l'Elba Bianco Passito. Sia l'Olio extravergine di oliva che i vini si possono ora gustare ed acquistare presso l’azienda agricola oppure acquistare direttamente presso i Bungalow e Appartamenti Lacona.
