5 Super time (Benjamin)We arrived a little early and were greeted by our host, who seated us comfortably at our table and supplied us with bottles of water while we rested. The wine tasting started promptly. The host was lovely, welcoming, engaging, spoke beautiful English, and encouraged us to ask any questions. She guided us through the history of the family, the wine making process, showed us vineyard, wine cellar, and the wine processing area, before the tasting itself. We tasted a number of delicious wines, paired with bread, olive oil, meat, cheese and honey. Our host described how best to extract different flavours from the wines. We were invited to choose our final glass from their whole range of wines, and we finished off with a shot of grappa. Our host kindly ordered a taxi for us back to Sirmione - 20 Euros. The only negative in the experience is that it’s a long walk to get to the vineyard. I would advise the shuttle bus from Sirmione port to the town Centre. It’s still a bit of a walk from there. We walked the whole way- 3 miles in the heat of the day! Other than that, the experience was a real highlight of our holiday, and we’re hoping to purchase some Sgreva wine when we get back to the UK.

5 Highlight of our trip to Sirmione (Stephanie)Fantastic experience learning about the Sgreva winemaking and tasting their beautiful wines with some lovely bread, meat and cheese. Chiara and Paolo were excellent hosts and very knowledgeable- Chiara in particular has a super way of integrating the members of the group and makes sure to talk and interact with everyone. We thoroughly enjoyed their hospitality and will be recommending this experience to anyone visiting Sirmione!

5 Amazing wine tasting experience, highlight of our trip (Victoria)Our wine tasting at Tenuta Frontelago was amazing all throughout. Both the tour around the winery, the tasting itself and the snacks that were included in the price were great. The owners made us feel very welcome and appreciated at the tour. We bought a bottle with us in the end of the tour which was amazing as well. The winery is easy to get to by public transport and if you want to walk to/from Sirmione it's a nice 1-hour walk by the lake. We definitely really recommend this experience!

5 Amazing vineyard in the beginning of their journey (Riaan)First a huge praise to Sara, who was extremely kind. I had mistakenly entered the visit into my calendar for the Sunday while it was actually for Saturday, imagine my surprise when Sunday morning I got an email to review. I sent an email and within an hour, I was greeted with a WhatsApp message that we could visit at 11 that same morning. We arrived in what can only be described as a rustic house, quickly met up with Sara and promptly started our tour. It was insightful and with a lot of knowledge shared we learnt about the vines, what kind of care goes into them and how devastating the changes in the climate have been. They are starting to ramp up production now and it's clear they've got a lot of opportunity and potential with the size of the vineyard and quality! We ended the tour and got to taste some of the vintages, paired with an abundant board of cold cuts, olives and local cheeses, with a clear standout being the gooseberry jam! Delicious. If you're looking for an accessible, knowledgeable and friendly vibe where you feel like a member of the family this is the place to visit.

5 5 star wine experience (Clare)What a fantastic wine tour, the host was very informative and we had a really good size of wine poured for our tasting of the wines, we got to choose our favourite wine at the end, lovely family owned winery. Happily offered to move our time to earlier to accommodate us and even offered to call us a taxi back to our hotel. You can buy numerous wines and they can ship them home to you too. Lovely experience -recommend to anyone for trying this tour.

They were so kind and helpful, they did a great job at explaining everything in both English and Italian as our group was mixed. The wines were great, we all ended up buying bottles. The grounds and vineyard were scenic and tranquil. It was well worth the money as you got to try a selection of wines and also have some delicious meat, cheese and try their olive oil with bread. I would definitely recommend this to others to do!

5 Authentic experience in a friendly family setting (Marta)I can recommend this to anyone who is looking for an authentic and not commercial experience - the hosts have been growing grapes for generations and have recently started producing their own wine. They were very warm, friendly and clearly very knowledgeable and passionate about the topic. We also had a delicious degustation in the garden, with fresh local products and na amazing wine. It felt more like a family visit and it's a great way to have a sneak peak into the life of wine makers.

5 Absolutely wonderful experience at this charming family-run winery (Valerie)We had a great time at this lovely family-run winery. The visit was relaxed and felt very real. We learned a lot about how they grow their grapes and make wine. The wines were delicious and each one had its own taste. The snacks were homemade and matched the wines really well – especially the very tasty homegrown tomatoes and blackberries. The owners were so friendly and warm, we instantly felt comfortable and had lots of laughs together. We’ve never had such a personal wine tasting experience before. A perfect visit – we highly recommend it!

5 Brilliant Experience (Andrew)We had a great time at Azienda Agricola Sgreva. Our guide for the tour was so knowledgeable about everything and she explained how the different wines are made and took us through all the different processes. Once we had been shown around the vineyard and distillery, we were then able to sample some of the wines produced on site, and this was accompanied meat, cheese and bread, which complimented the wines. We were given an explanation about all the wines and then got to choose one more before the end of the tour.. would totally recommend this wine tour.

It was a bit stressful getting there - we’d planned on catching a taxi from Sirmione but they were hard to come by because of the 1000 Miglia Ferrari race! But Chiara was great - very friendly and knowledgeable - we learned a lot and would highly recommend visiting this small, family run vineyard.

5 Great winery tour (Christoph)We had a great tour through the vineyard and winery including the cellar and learned about the different kinds of wines this winery produces. Later we had a tasting where they showcased 6 wines and some olive oil that's also produced by the winemakers together with some bread, cheese and salami. After the official tasting was done they offered us to try some of the other wines they produce, for example the Cabernet Sauvignon. All in all great experience and we enjoyed our time.
