About the Winery
Adega do Vulcão owns the only vineyard on Faial island: seven hectares of native grape varieties planted in the ashes of the Capelinhos volcano’s last eruption in 1957.
Within this unique vineyard, we have restored a small old adega offering a spectacular setting on the island, with a breathtaking view of the ocean and the volcano.

Guided by a deep respect for nature and local heritage, Adega do Vulcão works with native grape varieties and sustainable practices, crafting small-batch wines that express the raw power and elegance of volcanic terroir.
