About Winery and Wines

Situated below the cellars, in a romantic setting with views extending from Monte Cetona to the nearby Val d'Orcia, the vineyards extend for 10 hectares ( 22 acres ), at 300 metres a.s.l. The soil consists mostly of volcanic tufa, loose and structured, fresh at some depth but dry and barren on the surface. A very particular microclimate allows a more gradual ripening to take place and a better preservation of the fruity aromas of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir , providing a good base for a sparkling wine . There are between 2800 and 3000 vines per hectare.
