AMPELEIA

Ampeleia is a dynamic winery located in Roccatederighi, Upper Maremma, Tuscany. Founded nearly two decades ago, the winery is led by Marco Tait, who became its winemaker at the age of 22. With a strong commitment to sustainability, Ampeleia transitioned from organic to biodynamic production, allowing the terroir to shine through in every bottle. At the heart of the winery’s identity is Cabernet Franc, a grape that captures the essence of Ampeleia’s terroirs and tells its unique story.

Ampeleia’s winemaking philosophy centers on preserving the purity of the fruit. With spontaneous fermentation, no temperature control, and no filtration, each wine is crafted naturally from vineyard to bottle. The lineup includes Ampeleia, a complex Cabernet Franc; Alicante, showcasing Mediterranean vibrancy; Unlitro, a blend of Alicante Nero, Carignano, and others that embraces conviviality; and Bianco di Ampeleia, an elegant white. Each wine reflects the region’s rich character and offers a unique tasting experience.
