Great wine house! The owner took us to a tour around the place, showing us all the process of producing wine, explaining all in italian and english. Its a family business and the daugther - Clemantina, let us try from a veriaty wines they produce there. If you are in the area, its a great place to stop by.

Esperienza super

Consigliato!

About Winery and Wines

Francesco Balter was the father of Nicola and Barbara. The countryside has always been his real passion. Before building their cellar, the Balter family just cultivated grapes to sell them to other companies. A great change arrived in 1990: Francesco and his sons decided to build their own wine cellar under the vineyards behind the Castelliere (fortified borough), in order to maintain the 16th-century atmosphere. Nowadays Nicola, his son Giacomo and his daughter Clementina oversee every step of production at Balter: from vine cultivation to winemaking, from management to hospitality.

The Balter family owns 10 hectares of vineyards and follows meticulously each step of the vinification process. This way, they are able to give the best value to each bottle: their Trento DOC sparkling wines are produced following the Classical Method and enclose in each of them the spirit of Trentino. Their red wines are aged in barrique from 4 to 20 months, while for their white wines they opted for vinification in steel tanks.
