About Winery and Wines
For three generations, the Mosconi family has been cultivating the vineyards of the Valle d'Illasi, but it was only in 2006 that they began making wine from their grapes, focusing on quality in both the vineyard and the cellar. Our philosophy revolves around three key values: producing wines that are territorial, reflecting the rich culture and traditions of our land; personal, showcasing the winemaker's passion; and artisanal, crafted with care and respect for tradition. Nestled in the picturesque hills of the Valle d'Illasi, our estate is surrounded by vineyards, olive groves, and cherry trees, creating a unique microclimate ideal for growing exceptional grapes.
At the Mosconi winery, we focus on crafting wines that express the unique terroir of the Soave and Valpolicella appellations. Our vineyards are planted on two distinct soil types: calcareous alluvial sediments, which give a silty, sandy, and gravelly texture, and calcareous marl, both of which enhance the quality of our wines. The microclimate of the Valle d'Illasi is perfect for the traditional technique of drying grapes to produce Amarone and Recioto wines. Our dedication to quality and respect for the land allows us to create wines that are elegant, deep, and rich in aromatic precision, offering an authentic taste of this exceptional region.
