About the Winery

Palagetto Winery, owned by the Niccolai family since the 1980s, is now managed by the third generation.. Located just 1.5 km from the historic town of San Gimignano, the winery offers an authentic Tuscan experience with wine tastings that reflect the rich flavors and aromas of the region. Covering 62 hectares in San Gimignano, 42 hectares are vineyards and 13 hectares are of olive groves, Palagetto produces a variety of wines, including Vernaccia di San Gimignano, Chianti Colli Senesi and other tipology of wines.

About the Wines

Palagetto Winery produces a diverse range of wines, showcasing the best of Tuscan viticulture. Their offerings include Vernaccia di San Gimignano DOCG, available in multiple selections and a Riserva; Chianti Colli Senesi DOCG, including standard, Selezione I'Terzo, and Riserva; and San Gimignano Rosso DOC with varietals like Syrah and Merlot. Additionally, they offer Toscana IGT wines, featuring both red and white varieties, each reflecting the unique terroir of the region.

A pleasant hour through an excellent tasting

We are wine lovers and traveling in Italy we like to try the different labels. Here at Palagetto we felt welcomed, Stella followed us during the tasting where we found excellent products, which we gladly purchased at the end of the experience.

Great wine tasting in Tuscany

Fantastic experience. The host was lovely and the wine was delicious. Set in stunning locations. Very friendly and relaxed.
The visit was very personable and the vineyard wine was gorgeous.

Relaxing weekend with tasting

Very good and professional tasting. Beautiful accommodation nestled in the Tuscan hills with a pool as well. Very friendly staff! Highly recommended experience!

Excellent tasting!

Excellent tasting of 5 wines (1 sparkling rosé, 2 whites and 2 reds) with a platter of cured meats and cheeses and a first course, and to finish, a small dessert.
Everything was truly very good!
Special praise for the Vernaccia di San Gimignano, truly excellent!
I also recommend it for the kindness, professionalism and friendliness of the staff who guided us through the various steps of the tasting.

Top tasting

The tasting took place in a charming setting, with the tables set among the barrels in the cellar. We were welcomed and guided step by step by Sara, who was very knowledgeable and empathetic.
We chose the tasting with lunch, both the platters and the first course were very good, the wine excellent.
Since they also produce oil, perhaps they should give more emphasis to the tasting and explanation of the oil, which is very good.
Excellent quality/price ratio.
Overall we liked it a lot, I highly recommend it.
