About Winery and Wines
The Rivale farm was founded in 2013 in the countryside of Polignano a Mare, in the province of Bari, Puglia. It was born from a personal bet, by planting a vine not autochthonous like Pinot Noir, and at the moment, the company is the only one in Puglia to succeed.
Starting with a production of a thousand bottles to having reached a maximum of five thousand bottles to date.
The winery is located on the farm a few meters from the vineyard, following the model of the small French wineries that produce the renowned "Vins de Garage", wines produced in such small quantities that they can be stored in a narrow space, such as, precisely, a garage.
Rivale is crafted from three different Pinot Noir clones, fermented in large French oak vats. The carefully selected grapes are de-stemmed and fermented using only indigenous yeasts, without any added cultures. Its deep ruby color introduces a wine of remarkable complexity — light and smooth, yet also assertive and persistent.
Like a great book where no page is ever the same, Rivale offers a unique and unrepeatable experience with every glass and every bottle.
