Delicious food and wines

Delicious food and delicious wines at very reasonable prices.
The only drawback was not sufficient level of English of the host. Although the wines were described very well (on paper) it was hard to talk about the wine production, ask specific questions etc.

La valle nel vino

Prenotata perché vicina alla nostra residenza durante il periodo delle vacanze; posto motlo bello immerso nei vigneti e vista castello (il tutto a 10 min dlla citta di Aosta).
Personale preparato e vini di ottima qualità (soprattutto i rossi). Consiglio di accoppiare il tutto con un bel tagliere nostrano.

La struttura si trova in un posto bellissimo ed è curata e piacevole, abbiamo mangiato benissimo, il personale gentile anche se un pò inesperta pa ragazza che ci ha spiegato i vini. Purtroppo la cantina non ci è stata mostrata per lavori in corso, questo ci ha delusi un pò.
Magari qualcuno con un pò più esperienza nello spiegare i vini

visita molto interessante e la guida davvero brava e disponibile. Vini ottimi e accoglienza super. La visita in vigna è stata molto bella e interessante. Esperienza consigliata. Regalo di compleanno molto apprezzato.

About Winery and Wines

La Source Wine Farm was founded in 2003, by the will of some young farmers, with different experiences in the agricultural field and especially in wine production, as well as descendants of families from Valle d'Aosta dedicated to agriculture for generations. Currently the company is owned by the Celi-Cuc family and Stefano Celi is its soul. Born in 1971, graduated as agronomist at the Salesian Institute of Lombriasco, descendant of a family that has been dedicated to agriculture in Valle d'Aosta for generations, after other working experiences and always been a part-time farmer, since 2005 he devoted himself full time to the agricultural activity and in particular to viticulture. The winery has an extension of about 6.5 hectares (12.5 acres) of specialized DOC vineyards. The care of vineyards is followed by the owner who chooses the best agronomic techniques in order to have vineyards that express their potentialities at their best.

The choice of the most suitable vines and rootstocks is taken care of since the realization of the new plantings, In choosing the vines, besides some international vines (Syrah, Gamay, Müller Thuirgau, Shiraz and ARVINE), ample space was given to autochthonous vines with a prevalence of Petit Rouge, but also Premetta, Vien de Nus, Fumin and Cornalin. The transformation takes place in the modern winery currently under construction located in Bussan Dessous of Saint-Pierre, behind one of the most beautiful and famous castles of our valley. Vineyards, partly owned and partly rented, are located in the best viticultural areas of the valley, in the communes of Quart, Aosta, Sarre, Saint-Pierre, Aymavilles and Villeneuve; plantings are done in the best areas for viticulture in order to produce high quality grapes. The careful selection of grapes in the vineyard allows to bring to the winery a product to be transformed healthy and with the best characteristics for the realization of wines with high features. The transformation of grapes into wine, made with the most modern technologies and with the respect of the Valdostan wine tradition, is directly followed by the owners and it is supervised by enologist Mario Ronco, who has been following the growth path of the company for years.
