Bodega Cava Vives Ambrós

At Vives Ambròs, we specialise in producing Premium long-aged cavas, with aging periods of up to 8 years. Our work is always artisanal and in very limited productions, with a constant focus on quality. The quality of our sparkling wines is endorsed by the numerous awards we have received throughout more than 25 years of experience crafting wines using the Traditional Method.

With 30 hectares of our own organic vineyards, on clay-limestone soils, Vives Ambròs is a family-run winery that has evolved across five generations. From grape growing and bulk wine production in the 60s, to today’s focus on long-aged, high-quality cavas.

Artisanal work lies at the heart of our winemaking philosophy, both in the vineyard and in the cellar. Each vine, each process, and each bottle receive meticulous and rigorous care, resulting in cavas designed to satisfy the most demanding and refined palates.

A Brut Reserva blend made from approx. 40% Xarel·lo + 30% Macabeo + 30% Parellada. This wine is described as fresh and smooth, with notes of white fruit, wild flowers and light bakery tones, aged at least 4–5 years. 

A Brut Nature Gran Reserva composed of approx. 40% Xarel·lo + 35% Macabeo + 25% Chardonnay, with very low residual sugar (1.5 g/L), offering citrus compote, balsamic and forest-floor notes, high persistence on the palate. 

A Rosé Brut Reserva using approx. 40% Garnacha + 40% Monastrell + 20% Pinot Noir; pale rose colour, fine persistent bubble, aromas of red and wild fruits, floral touches, finish long and dry. 

A special Gran Reserva “Tradició” made from old vines (60% Xarel·lo, 40% Macabeo) with 7-8 years of bottle aging, giving complex aromas of chestnut, honey, quince paste, citrus and fine persistent mousse. 

Another high-end variant “Jujol Gran Reserva Barrica” made 100% from Xarel·lo from the “Vinya del Fons” vineyard, fermented in 1st-use French oak barrels and aged 6 months, then bottled for secondary fermentation and 5-year ageing.
