Bodegas Izadi nace en 1987 de la mano de Gonzalo Antón, quien, junto a un conjunto de amigos y empresarios vitorianos, crea un proyecto innovador en el corazón de Rioja Alavesa.

Villabuena de Álava, where part of the family was already linked to the world of viticulture, was the chosen village to build an innovative winery focused on producing high-quality wines. Gonzalo Antón's vast knowledge of hospitality and catering led him to conceive a wine, Izadi, which soon became one of the most appreciated in the gastronomic world. At the same time, the incorporation of new winemaking techniques and his constant drive for improvement helped create a unique style that has been consolidated over time.

In the year 2000, the incorporation of his son, Lalo Antón, into the business boosted international sales and led to the company's expansion. Under the name Artevino, the company took on new projects, including Finca Villacreces (D.O. Ribera del Duero), Bodegas Vetus (D.O. Toro), and Orben (D.O.Ca. Rioja).

The commitment to quality, the connection to gastronomy, and the deep attachment to the land are the foundational pillars of Bodegas Izadi.

Izadi offers a range of wines representative of the DOCa Rioja, emphasizing native varieties and old vineyards. Within their Larrosa project, they feature the Izadi Larrosa Rosé, a fresh and elegant rosé made from 100% Garnacha from old vines. It is accompanied by the Izadi Larrosa Blanca, a special edition of Garnacha Blanca, and the Izadi Larrosa Negra, a structured yet fresh red wine that completes the trilogy—all a tribute to this grape variety.

The Izadi Crianza is another emblem of the winery, a 100% Tempranillo wine that reflects the essence of Rioja Alavesa, offering balance, concentration, and personality. The Izadi Selección Blanco is a singular white wine incorporating six native varieties from the region, utilizing old vineyards to achieve a unique aging process.

Additionally, the Izadi Selección Tinto is a reserva that selects the best plots and old vineyards, representing the essence of Izadi. Finally, their iconic wine is the Izadi El Regalo “Viñedo Singular”, a 100% Tempranillo made from vines planted in 1940, capturing the unique personality of the Finca El Regalo and showing the utmost respect for the vineyard.
