About Winery and Wines
Di Prima Winery is deeply rooted in the ancient traditions of Sicilian viticulture, with a history that dates back to the Sicani, the earliest known inhabitants of the island. In fact, just a few meters from our estate, ancient grape crushers carved into the rock were discovered, a testament to the long-standing connection between this land and winemaking. Our winery is situated in the breathtaking territory of Sambuca di Sicilia, in the province of Agrigento, where our 40 hectares of vineyards spread across the picturesque regions of Pepita Roccarossa, Arancio, and Batia.
The estate enjoys exceptional natural conditions: altitudes ranging from 300 to 550 meters, a microclimate shaped by the proximity to Lake Arancio and surrounding forests, and a significant temperature range that enhances the flavors of our grapes. At our new tasting room on the shores of Lake Arancio, visitors can immerse themselves in an untouched landscape, savoring our wines while taking in the serene beauty of the vineyards.

We use no synthetic chemicals or pesticides, striving to protect the environment, preserve biodiversity, and maintain the vitality and fertility of our soils. This approach allows us to produce wines that truly reflect the personality and unique characteristics of our land.

La Matrice Nero d'Avola DOC Sambuca di Sicilia: This wine captures the essence of Sicily’s most famous red grape variety. It boasts rich, bold flavors, balanced with hints of spice and dark fruits, making it a perfect representation of the local terroir.

Il Grillo del Lago DOC Sicilia: A bright and aromatic white wine, Grillo is known for its floral and citrus notes. The proximity to Lake Arancio enhances the wine’s freshness and minerality, resulting in a crisp and lively sip.
